A permit is required to operate a public swimming pool and/or spa.  Plan checks are required on all public pools or spas and must be submitted and approved by the Environmental Health Department. Inspections are made by Enivoronmental Health Department staff to ensure proper maintenance of these facilities.

Inspections include review of locker, shower, and dressing rooms; toilet facilities; filtration, pumping, safety and disinfection equipment; piping; water quality; supervision; and records.
