Food Safety Classes are given once a year, in the winter. Class
dates will be posted 1 month prior to actual class.
NEW APPLICANTS AND RENEWALS: Complete and return the
attached registration form to the address shown above. A $30.00 check (payable to "Thomson Prometric") needs to
be brought to class. Seating is limited;
late registration may not be accepted. (This is a first come, first serve basis).
Applicants can register
online at nichole_stains@modoccounty.us. Please List Your Name, Phone Number, Mailing Address, Number of People
Attending, Food Facility & Address, English or Spanish & Date of Class.
You can also come into our Environmental Health Office, Monday
- Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm to register. Applicants can obtain a Certified Professional Food Manager study book from the Modoc
County Public Library in Alturas.
All tests will be ordered in English unless you indicate otherwise on your
registration form. Study books and tests are currently available in English and Spanish. The test will be administered at
the end of class. The test will take about an hour, but we have the room unitl 5:00 pm for those who need more time. The class
times are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with an hour lunch.
